Google recently made an announcement regarding a new extension of their already increasingly useful and popular service Adwords.
One part of the new changes is to increase the text limits of the displayed ads, but another aspect is also the introduction of a pricing display.
Not sure what this means? Well, to help we have put together some of the key information relating to this release.
What are price extensions?
If you set up price extensions on your Google Adwords account, then a list of your prices will appear beneath the main ad text. On a mobile this is going to take up valuable space and really put your business at the forefront of the customer’s attention.
Not only this, but they are also one of the first chances that you will have of showcasing your pricing structure across products or services.
How can you opt in for price extensions?
The roll out process for this particular add on has been gradual, meaning that not everyone is able to include them. However, if you are able to then they will appear in the drop-down menu under the Ad extensions tab.
In order to set them up you will need to add a header, a 25 limit description of your product/service as well as the price. The price can be shown in a variety of forms including per hour, per day or even per year.
If you plan to have a limited time offer, then you can even set your price extension to cover a certain time period.
Is there anything else I should know?
There are few key facts to keep in mind when it comes to price extensions. First of all, they are currently on set to display on mobile devices, meaning that they will not appear on your desktop search engine results.
Most importantly, these extensions are only available to the ad which is in the top position, meaning that you are going to have to work extra hard to push yours into the number one spot.
