Online Marketing Tips for 2017
If you’re running any sort of business, then you should be running an online marketing campaign. You don’t just run an online marketing campaign, though, you constantly strive to improve it, right? Here’s how to get game in 2017.
Concentrate on headlines
While content is, and always will be, king, the headlines are the usher-inners. If you don’t start off with an attractive, engaging headline, your content won’t be read as much and you’ll see fewer conversions.
Build trust in your e-commerce site
If you sell your products or services online, you need to make people trust you, so make sure you have several security shields and badges on your website. Be transparent with your customer service, too – if someone’s complained, set it right as publicly as you can.
Leave innovation alone for a while
You might think that by making your content vastly different from everyone else’s that you’ll be making yourself stand out from the crowd. Well, yes, you might, but not in the way you’d hoped! Just stick to tried-and-tested forms of content for now and let it speak for itself. People need to feel trust at the moment and something that’s just too wacky can be a turn-off.
Get blogging harder
You most likely already blog, but you should take some time to learn more about the process and newer techniques. You also need to improve your writing – it really makes a difference. It’s a big time investment, but it’s worth it.
Get more comments on your blog posts
Once you’re firing out amazing posts, you need to get people talking about them, so start more conversations, invite more comments. Offer a freebie for the most amusing, helpful, liked or insightful comment, for example.
Concentrate on repeat customers and visitors
Garnering new customers is all well and good, but you need to focus more on your existing ones and keep them coming back. To do this you need to update your blog and other content regularly, as well as have an easy-to-remember brand name or URL. Fortunately, repeat visits are also useful for converting those new customers too.
